This new feature can be found under the Map tab in the\nauxiliary area of the Line Design Tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>LiDAR 3D\nView Overlay<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 There is a new LiDAR Overlay Plugin available that allows formatted LiDAR files to display as point clouds in the 3D view. These point clouds can be used to obtain measurements when performing Pole Loading Analysis. This new plugin can be activated under \u201cManage Plugins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>Clearance Analysis \u2013 Added Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Ground Line\nClearance Obstruction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 A clearance\nobstruction based off ground line elevations between poles can now be created\nin the clearance analysis tool of the Line Design Tab<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Create\nObstructions from CSV data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Obstructions can now\nbe created from a list of locations and measurements stored as a csv file. This is commonly called a Flying Dutchman and\nthere is a new object within O-Calc Pro to aid in this modeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Multithreading\nof calculations for better performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 O-Calc Pro Line Design now has the option to\nuse multithreading when performing calculations on various poles within a Line\nDesign.&nbsp; This enables the user to\ncontinue modeling the structures\/Line design while the calculations are run in\nthe background. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Face\u2019\nAttribute added to Crossarm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 The Crossarm object\nnow has a new attribute called \u2018Face\u2019 that enables the user to easily switch\nthe pole face of the crossarm from \u201cFront\u201d to \u201cBack\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Bundle\nDiameter displayed in Inventory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 The total bundle\ndiameter of a communication bundle is now displayed within the Inventory\npanel.&nbsp; The messenger object, by default\nwill display the description, direction, length, and total bundle diameter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Batch\nReports for Line Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Batch Reports can now\nbe run on multiple Line Design Files (.ppld).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Fix Span\nRolls Cross Arm Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 There is now an\noption to choose whether to rotate cross arms or not when using the fix span\nrolls tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Height\nLabels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Attachment heights\nare now displayed for all default inventory descriptions of elements attached\ndirectly to the pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Whole Line\nSolver \u2013 GO95 Rule 46<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 The Whole Line Solver\nnow accounts for GO95 Rule 46 (additional vertical load for linemen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Minimum\nAnchor Distance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Minimum Anchor lead\nlength has been adjusted to 2 feet from the pole face to allow for use of 3-foot\nstruts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Clear all\nDMT Image Labels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Added the ability to\nclear all labels for a given image within the DMT measure tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Label\nBackgrounds in Line Design Map<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Added backgrounds for\nLine Design Map labels so that the labels will be visible regardless of the\ndisplayed map back drop.&nbsp; These label\nbackgrounds are an user option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Line Design\nBatch Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 When running a batch report\nfor all the poles within the Line Design, the user can now include all versions\nof the pole and\/or load cases for each pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Corrections\/Improvement<\/strong>s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>Line Design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Insert Pole<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Split spans\nand insert pole was not adding a Load Case to the newly created pole when this\ntool was used to add a new pole to a Line Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement: Split\nspans and insert pole now adds a default load case to the newly created pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Horizontal\nScale<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: On some\nmachines, after changing the horizontal scale, focus would remain on the\nHorizontal Scale tool. This could cause an unintended change in Horizontal\nScaling the next time an action was performed in the 3D view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Changing\nHorizontal Scale will no longer be changed if another action is performed in\nthe 3D view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Move Here<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ncircumstances, using the Move Here context option when dragging and dropping an\ninsulator could cause the spans attached to this insulator to become unlinked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Using\nMove Here context menu is no longer able to sometimes break span links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Sag in\nProfile Viewer\/Chart<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ncircumstances, the sag would be drawn incorrectly in the profile viewer or chart\nfunction. The sags were being drawn\/displayed as having too much sag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: The\ncorrect amount of sag is now being displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Zero Length\nInsulator<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In the circumstances when a user changed the length of the insulator to a length of zero inches, the calculations would fail to converge properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: This\ncalculation issue has been corrected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Multipole\nStructures<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ncircumstances, spans and guys could not be linked between legs of a multipole\nstructure or from a multipole structure to other structures in a Line Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Multipole\nStructures should now link correctly between legs and other structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Merge\/Jumper\nto Catalog Items<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Some catalog\nitems would give the option to merge with or jumper too inventory items when\ndragging and dropping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Dragging\nand dropping an item from the catalog to the inventory should no longer give\nthe option to merge or jumper these items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Clearance\nAnalysis<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Sometimes\nitems outside the clearance distance could trigger clearance failures\nerroneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Objects\noutside clearance distance should no longer occasionally trigger erroneous\nclearance failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Pole Lean<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Sometimes\nadding lean to the active pole would cause the other poles in 3D View to\ndisplay as having the same lean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement:For Line\nDesign models, pole Lean is now shown as a ghost pole superimposed over the\npole model in 3D View.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Display\/Refresh\nIssues<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 There were a few display errors and display refresh issues that have been corrected. These include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crossarm Braces not rotating correctly with crossarm rotation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Span diameters appear smaller in 3D View depending on camera\nangle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corrected clipping issue if the 3D View ground area was too\nlarge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corrected display issue with span guys not showing up in 3D View<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several items corrected to refresh 3D View and\/or LD Map when\noperation was performed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corrected obstructions drawing incorrectly in 3D View.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>Catalogs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Unable to\nSave Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Having a\nbroken catalog path for one catalog could cause changes made to other catalogs\nto not save when closing O-Calc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement: Having a\nbroken catalog path for one catalog will no longer prevent changes made to\nother catalogs from saving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>5.03\nCompatibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Some items\ncreated in O-Calc Pro Line Design could cause an error which would prevent the\ncatalog from loading in O-Calc Pro 5.03.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement: O-Calc\nPro 5.03 has been updated to allow all catalogs created in O-Calc Pro Line\nDesign to open in 5.03. To upgrade 5.03 please download the manual patch file\nfrom the 5.03 download page and copy it to the bin folder in your O-Calc Pro\ninstall location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>False Assert\nError Message<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Some reports\nwould incorrectly send an error message when opened or printed to file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Reports\nshould no longer send an incorrect error message when opened or printed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>GIS Data\nshowing in Scientific Notation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Some GIS data\nwould show in scientific notation in the latitude and longitude section of the\nanalysis reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Reports\nwill no longer display GIS data in scientific notation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>DMT and Images<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Linked\nImages Lost<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In certain\ncircumstances, links to image locations could be lost upon creating a new\nversion of a pole or closing O-Calc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Linked\nImages should never be lost as long as the image file location is valid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Image Labels\nnot showing in DMT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ncircumstances, Image Labels would no longer show up when performing\nmeasurements in the DMT tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Image\nlabels should now always show up correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Image\nManipulation Errors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: On some\nmachines, performing various image manipulations would cause display errors to\noccur in the DMT tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Image\nmanipulation should no longer cause occasional display errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Images Added\non Cancel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: Images could\nsometimes be added to a pole even if Cancel was selected during image selection\nin the Select Pole Images tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Selected\nimages will no longer be added when cancel is selected in the Select Pole\nImages tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>Plugins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>O-Calc LE\nMissing Images<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ninstances the O-Calc LE Management Plugin would fail to download images\nassociated with a pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: O-Calc LE\nManagement Plugin should now always download any images associated with a\ncollected pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25c7&nbsp;<strong>General<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Data Entry\nDisplay<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some circumstances,\nwhen the data entry tab was hidden, the data entry tab could fail to display\nselected elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: The Data\nEntry Tab should now correctly display any selected elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Davit Arms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ninstances, davit arms could reverse rotation values, preventing the davit arm\nfrom having a davit angle greater than 90\u00b0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement: Davit\narms should now have a full 180\u00b0 arc of rotation for the davit angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Damage and\nDecay Error message<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ninstances, when adding damage or decay to a pole, an error message would be\nincorrectly displayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: An error\nmessage should no longer be generated when adding damage or decay to a pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Ally Arm\nLoad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ninstances, alley(offset) arms were not calculating correctly, resulting in\nslightly incorrect load calculations on the pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Alley\narms now calculate loads correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Active Load\nCase<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In some\ninstances, pole versions that share the same load case were not maintaining the\nactive load case when switching between versions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement: Shared\nActive Load Cases between pole versions should now be maintained when switching\nthe active version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Junctions\/Drip\nLoops<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: When adding a\nJunction Box or Drip Loop to a linked span, the Junction or Loop could show up\nas offset from both ends of the same span.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Adding a\nJunction Box or Drip Loop to a linked span will now display as offset from the\ncorrect pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Guy Tension\nFlags<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In instances\nwhere guys were overloaded at the worst wind angle for the guy, they could\nstill be listed as passing in the 3D view if they were not overloaded at the\nworst wind angle for the pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Improvement: Guys\nwill now flag as failed in 3D view if they fail at any wind angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Sidewalk\nStrut Height <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: In instances when\na pole with a sidewalk guy was substituted for a different length pole, the\nheight of the sidewalk guy strut was not being maintained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Sidewalk Guy Strut heights are\u00a0maintained on pole substitution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf&nbsp;<strong>Insulators\non Pole Top Extensions <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Defect: when\ninsulators were attached to pole top extensions, the angle and side values were\nnot fully allowing for attachment locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b8 Correction: Updates\nto how insulators are placed on pole top extensions now function as intended. <\/p>\n<a class=\"synved-social-button synved-social-button-share synved-social-size-48 synved-social-resolution-single synved-social-provider-facebook nolightbox\" data-provider=\"facebook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"Share on Facebook\"
