Applied Loads Summary

  Theory of operation, Tips

This report provides more detailed information regarding the forces being applied to the pole in relation to wine pressure as dictated by the loadcase, and the worst wind direction which is determined during modeling of a structure.

Figure 7. Applied Loads Summary Report

LoadCase – Populated automatically based on the active loadcase in the inventory list.

Wind Pressure (psf) – populated automatically based on the attribute of the active loadcase.

Wind Angle (degrees) – populated based on the calculated worst wind direction

Load Height (ft) – represents the heights of each of the point loads being applied to the pole.

Force Perpendicular to Wind (lbs) – This section of the data table shows what forces are applied perpendicular to the specified wind direction at the specified height of the pole being applied. In this case, the value “0” indicates that no forces are applied perpendicular to the specified wind angle for each load at a given height.

Force Parallel to Wind (lbs) – This section of the data table shows the forces are applied in the same direction as the specified wind direction at the specified height of the pole.

Force Vertical (lbs) – This section of the data table shows the vertical load applied at the specified heights of the pole.
